ACLoader FAQFrequently Asked Questions About ACLoader V4 |
|
Q: I have special aircraft I purchased. Why is the plane sitting on its nose? ACLoader is set right. A: There are some aircraft that reposition the load when you load the specialized panels. ACLoader can do nothing about this and should not be used with these aircraft. Q: Can I Use Aircraft Data Files From Previous Versions? A: Yes, but you will need to edit them in ACLoader v4 if they are from V3 to have the correct information for cargo holds and galleys, plus selecting the layout image to use with the aircraft. GA aircraft have been completely changed so need a total edit since v3. Q: Can I Use The Route Table From Previous Versions? A: Yes, nothing has changed in the Route Data Records in v4. Just copy ACLoader v3/Data Files/ACLoaderRoute.dat to ACLoader v4/Data Files, replacing the one there. Q: Why is "Loading Only" greyed out and "Write Reports ONLY" checked and greyed out? A: This happens if ACLoader can't find a Flight Sim version or you have changed your path in the Settings Form to your FS2002/FS2004/FSX directory. Q: The FFX 737-200 Sits on Its Tail After I load it A: I've received several e-mails regarding ACLoader and the FFX 732 sitting on its tail. This is not caused by ACLoader directly. It's caused by the main gear being forward of the CoG in the air file. I don't know how anyone has been able to taxi this aircraft. However, it's a simple fix. Edit the aircraft.cfg file with any text editor. Go to the section titled [contact_points] Replace the second and third line (point.1 and point.2) with the following:
point.1=1, -3.85, -8.95,-9.70, 1574.80, 1, 3.33, 0.0, 1.00, 2.50, 0.75, 6.90, 6.90, 2, 200, 280 //left gear This moves the main gear back to where they belong. The 732 will now and sit correctly, and you will find it's a lot more easy to taxi, too. Q:Why Do I Keep Getting "WARNING! Aircraft XXXX exists in Aircraft\xxxx and in...." A: What causes that error is that the aircraft.cfg file has two or more definitions of the same aircraft with the same "title=" value. If you look at the [fltsim.0]...[fltsim.x] entries, you'll find identical entries. You can either remove the identical entries or rename the "title=" value part to something else. I would just remove them. This is a big problem with some authors and a really big problem with PAI aircraft. You'll find that after fixing these erroneous entries, loading aircraft into FS will be faster as well. |
